Welcome to the Tobacco Museum of Kavala

The Municipal Tobacco Museum of Kavala is a thematic museum, which includes objects and records about the cultivation and production of tobacco, its agricultural and commercial process, industrial tobacco products and exhibition samples of tobacco.

The Tobacco Museum is unique, not only because it includes and exhibits the commercial process of oriental tobacco (in no other museum to be found worldwide) but because, as a technological museum, it shows the social history of Kavala and generally of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

The “TOBACCO MUSEUM of the MUNICIPALITY OF KAVALA” is a legal entity under public law and was founded by the MUNICIPALITY OF KAVALA. Its legal status for the years 2007-2010 is: Yannis Vyzikas-president, Nikolaos Koutras-vice president, Ara Matossian, Leonidas Pappas, Kyriakos Lykourinos, Aposotlos Aggelarakis, Michael Tsaldaridis, Nikolaos Kakoulidis and Phanis Gerlektsis-members.
